Package: kaddressbook
Version: 4:3.2.2-2
Severity: wishlist
I'm using a Sony Ericsson T630 and it can bind an image to a
contact. It can also tranfer its phonebook in vcard format.
Unfortunately it seems to handle images differently from kaddressbook:
it knows only jpg and not png, a vcard with image attached from the
phone isn't read by kaddressbook, and vice-versa
The first line of the image field from the phone is:
PHOTO;ENCODING=BASE64;TYPE=JPEG:/9j/4AAQSkZJRgABAQEASABIAAD/2wBDABALDA4MChAODQ4SERATGCgaGBYWGDEjJR0oOjM9PDkz
I don't know if it's 100% vcard compliant, but I think it would be a
beautiful think for all S/E phones owners if it worked ;)
Thanks
