I installed today by network using this image:
debian-testing-i386-netinst.iso 29-Oct-2012 04:17 249M
I choose KDE desktop and graphical install.
Now I found there are two updates notifier, one is kingston-update-notifier
(update-notifier-kde) and the other is the Apper one.
I think having two different applications to notify about avilable updates will
confuse the user.
In my opinion update-notifier-kde (kington) should be removed from a default
installation in favour of Apper.
