Hi Moshe! I find this bug unreproducible. Also kate is one of the main apps included in KDE, so if this is a packaging/app problem, more people would have certainly filled this bug before, or replied to it. So I'm suspecting in a problem with you setup (and thus reducing the severity to important). Please try the following: - Be sure to full-upgrade/dist-upgrade your system. - Create a new user and check if the bug still applies there. Be sure to mail us back to 688517 with the results.
