Hi Andreas² ;-)
I asked on IRC and so far I understood that this is not happening because "apt
can't work out the upgrade path", but "apt can't work out how to deal with
circular dependencies and maintainer scripts" problem.
This was discussed between Sune Vuorela and David Kalnischkies on #debian-apt,
and the circular dependencies is between qdbus and libqt4-dbus (the exact
details of why are beyond my actual knowledge).
So, AFAIU, this patch has not been applied because it is really not the
correct solution for the problem.
I would really like to test the patch and upgrade for myself, but I don't
think I'll be able to do it until at least a week from today.
Please bear in mind that this was only my POV in the subject and not a team-
wide decition/position, although if the patch really fixes the issue and
nobody else complains I would simply upload it.
So, if you can wait for one or two more weeks, I'll test and take the blame if
I do something wrong. Else, well, feel free to decide for yourself ;-)
