Package: plasma-scriptengine-python Version: 4:4.4.5-7+squeeze1 Severity: important
The problem here is that I have NO way to install or to use a plasma widget written in python, even if I have the right packages installed. first, in the "Install Widgets from file" window, I have no option to create/install a python widget, then in the "Install Widgets from internet window, It installed the widget, but the widget is not capable to run. I believe I have every file in order; as I have plasma-scriptengine-python, python-kde4, python-qt, the respective -dev packages for the last two installed as well, and it seems that these packages are just for using my hard drive space because they do nothing. I have plasmascript.py Ok: $ locate plasmascript.py /usr/lib/pymodules/python2.5/PyKDE4/plasmascript.py /usr/lib/pymodules/python2.5/PyKDE4/plasmascript.pyc /usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/PyKDE4/plasmascript.py /usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/PyKDE4/plasmascript.pyc /usr/share/pyshared/PyKDE4/plasmascript.py I have plasma-importer.py Ok: $ locate plasma_importer.py /usr/share/kde4/apps/plasma_scriptengine_python/plasma_importer.py /usr/share/kde4/apps/plasma_scriptengine_python/plasma_importer.pyc I read bug #524685 And it seems that this has been fixed in KDE 4.4.3, but now In KDE 4.4.5 in Debian Squeeze, it seems that isn't., bravo!. If this is not a bug, so, how can I install and run Python widgets?. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.5 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=es_MX.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_MX.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages plasma-scriptengine-python depends on: ii python 2.6.6-3+squeeze7 interactive high-level object-orie ii python-kde4 4:4.4.5-3 Python bindings for the KDE Develo ii python-support 1.0.10 automated rebuilding support for P plasma-scriptengine-python recommends no packages. plasma-scriptengine-python suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-qt-kde-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
