Package: kmail
Version: 4:4.4.11.1+l10n-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I use kmail with a POP account on several computers. I set it
up so that it sends me bcc copies of messages I send; when such
a copy is received, it is moved to the "Sent" folder, but when
it arrives to the computer where it originated, it is moved to
trash (this way I synchronize my Sent folders).

To give myself a measure of monitoring on this trashing of messages,
I added an action that plays a sound when this filter shoots. This
way, if I hear the sound without having sent a message in the few
minutes before, I can fix the problem.

But recently, I've had problems with this. Changes in KDE removed
the sound file I was using, and in response, KMail hung whenever
it received a mail sent from the same computer (so, within 2 minutes
of sending mail). Choosing an existing sound file fixed that. Today,
the other sound file became problematic (it doesn't play in the
filter-configuration dialog), and as a result KMail crashed.

(the problem file was /usr/share/sounds/KDE-Window-Close.ogg)

Thanks for keeping a workable KMail alive,

        Shai
