After closing and reopening the laptop lid and entering the password to unlock the session the KDE4 desktop does not react to left mouse button clicks. Soon after that (ususally three to four clicks later) the right mouse button fails together with the middle button, too. Moving the pointer works without interuption. I'm using a Thinkpad T410s with multiple pointers (touchpad, touchpoint, touchscreen, external USB mouse) and all of them fail at the same time. Logging out using keyboard navigation solves the problem, as soon as I get to the KDM greeting the mouse works again. The problem is very reproducible as it happens every time I close the lid, causing the screensaver to start and lock the session.
