in the file ~/.xsession-errors are many errors like:
QPainter::setRenderHint: Painter must be active to set rendering hints
QPainter::fillPath: Painter not active
QPainter::restore: Unbalanced save/restore
QPainter::save: Painter not active

QPainter::fillPath: Painter not active
QPainter::restore: Unbalanced save/restore
QPainter::font: Painter not active
QPainter::setFont: Painter not active
QPainter::setPen: Painter not active
QPainter::font: Painter not active
QPainter::setFont: Painter not active
QPainter::setPen: Painter not active
QPainter::save: Painter not active

After 6 hours uptime ~/.xsession-errors is now 5MB large.
$ grep ^QPainter ~/.xsession-errors | wc -l
119030

It is difficult to stay aware of real problems with this mass messages.
