This seems to be a generic QT bug and not only affecting the battery applet. BTW, read the thread carefully as the fixes have some twitches. The final fix seems to be this one: http://websvn.kde.org/branches/KDE/4.5/kdebase/workspace/plasma/generic/applets/battery/battery.cpp?r1=1170162&r2=1170161&pathrev=1170162 But I'm suspicious of a value less than 5 in the setMaxVisibleItems, since the Presentation power profile is the 5th profile and is at the bottom. I think they used 4 because KDE devs moved the combo box up in the widget. If the value 5 can't be used in setMaxVisibleItems (due to some other bugged reason), a solution would be to move the Presentation profile to 3rd place.
