Most desktop effects really slow on KDE4. There are hiccups and
stutters all over the place, not really to the point of affecting
usability, but annoying nonetheless. The worst offender however,
almost does affect usability, and that's the resize effect. When
resizing, it skips loads of frames, and makes the resize effect look
ridiculously choppy. These frameskips last a couple of seconds at
most, and it almost looks like the desktop has frozen entirely.
