Package: dolphin
Version: 4:4.3.2-1
Severity: important

I've tested under two user accounts and the root account and all three exhibit
the
same behavior. When I choose to display hidden files in ~/ either through the
menu or
via alt+. dolphin consumes 100% of one cpu core and it becomes laggy while
navigating.
When navigating other folders, the problem seems to go away. Perhaps this is
due to the
number of .files and .folders in ~/? I use the command line mostly so I can't
say when
this actually started but I've only noticed this recently. Wiping out the .kde
folder
doesn't solve this behavior.

Dear reporter,
you've received on 2010-03-20 the last of a series of e-mails from me, which
partly provided more information on the reported bug and also asked you for
confirmation, that this bug has been solved.

As of now (2010-04-17) there hasn't been any reply by you, I assume the bug has
indeed been fixed and you no longer have any interest in this bug. Therefore I'm
closing the bug now. In case this was premature and the bug still exists, please
consider contributing directly to the upstream bug, which has been linked to
this upstream report. You can, of course, also reopen this bug report and
provide further information. Especially answers to the questions I've sent to
the bug report to help fixing the bug.

Kind regards,
Kai Wasserbäch
