For what kind of devices does KDE4 still use pmount? Is it just a fallback for when HAL/Solid is not available? I have uninstalled it long time ago, never experienced a problem. Given that recommends are installed by default, I stronge believe this recommends should be demoted to suggests or better dropped altogether.
