I tried to reproduce the problem I suspected, by adding a field with a non- ASCII (Hebrew) name. Apparently, KAddressBook doesn't let you do that anymore; only ASCII is accepted for field names. I have plenty of fields with Hebrew content, and those have caused no problem since the bug was reported. It would seem that the bug is no longer valid.
