Hello What version of hal do you have ? (you can get it with `apt-cache policy hal`) There is a know incompatibility between kde 4.3.4-1 and hal 0.5.14, but 4.3.4-2 should fix it. Can you please install kdebase-workspace-dbg and reupload a backtrace ? Regards -- Xavier Vello
