I set the severity to normal however it has a mayor impact to the usability. But I use sid only on my laptop where I use suspend to ram so not having so often to login. To the problem: Since the update I always have to login twice. The problem seems to be that the $HOME is mounted _after_ the password is correct and kdm seems to not allow the $HOME to change the volumeid or so. This change was introduced in the last update of kdm. On my laptop I use pam-encfs to mount my $HOME which work well.
