It gave you a fat warning about a new window manager, you ignored it and now you complain with severity serious? > However after clicking ok, the X11 Session closed, and I was > greeted with the LDM Login manager (used in LTSP), while potentially > loosing all unsaved documents.. Many things may happen when messing with important settings esp. after warnings. A clear user would at least save documents seeing a word "start" about the thing it has no clue about. > I don't use KDE4, but I installed kdebase-workspace, so that Kded wouldn't > spam my terminal window full of messages. Killing window manager under KDE would not kill the whole session which is obviously not the case under Openbox. Too bad. > - a clearer warning should be issued to the user, that he > should save his documents before X11 restarts Maybe, but this is hardly a request of serious severity. Yet, OpenBox starts, since LDM is the login manager and not KDM. Again, why are messing with KDE systemsettings if you are not using KDE? Sure, that module could refuse changing settings under non-KDE sessions, hence normal severity. However, this problem is mainly your own fault. You got what you wanted and frankly, I still don't understand what you intended to achieve changing that setting. -- Modestas Vainius <modes...@vainius.eu>
