Package: kpdf

Hi,
With a pdf version 1.6 that reported security: encryption, I was unable
to copy text from the document to the clipboard.
Is kpdf deliberately crippled, or is there a workaround?
Please provide a sample of document showing the issue.

The permissions of this document say that client applications should not copy
the test of the document. KPDF could tell that the reason is that indeed, but
KPDF is frozen solid and no more KDE 3 releases are planned, so it cannot be
done. (And Okular - KPDF successor in KDE 4 - does that, anyway.)
However, you can disable the fact that KPDF respect the DRM bits of the
document, just go in the preferences.
Ah, thanks! I couldn't find anything in the manual page or
/usr/share/doc/kpdf, and the online help only gives a picture of the
preferences box.
Arthur.
