Actually the first part is not true. The plan is to port KAddressBook and KOrganizer to Akonadi in KDE 4.3 (actually KAddressBook will most likely be replaced by a new application) The KResource plugins for Akonadi in kdepim-kresources depend on Akonadi, the applications don't. Cheers, Kevin
