The default font for pidgin/licq is Sans Regular, which makes capital I looks like the small l. I have in pidgin set to use font from system theme. I just told a friend (via IM) to press alt-sysrq-l to trace a kernel problem, and he pressed alt-sysrq-i, because the letters were indistinguishable with the default font. I am using pidgin, he's using licq. The font for konsole is sane, why not use that as the default GUI font?
