Dear Ana, I've already tried to play a little with those settings with no effective results, but there is something new. I've experimented that if I move the slider in kmid to jump in different sections of a song, I can listen to something, like a locked chord. So the complete absence of any sound seems do be due to the initial silence contained in some of the songs I have that is extended to the end of the song itself. I've tried this both using timidity and fluidsynth: kmid behaves the same. I hope this helps a little in tracking down this bug.
