The problem I noticed was with the calendars, not the categories. Or do you think there is some interaction?
Specifically, these are the colors you get by right clicking the calendars in the lower left and selecting "resources colors" (they are also the colors of the little boxes in that lower left pane) or by picking from the menu Settings | korganizer | | colors under the "resources" section.
