Package: kdelibs4c2a
Version: 4:3.5.6.r1.dfsg.1-4
Severity: normal
Since upgrading my system, I get one or more of those messages at program
startup:
X Error: BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input device 180
in many cases the programs still start, but sometimes they do not (konsole
and make xconfig in the kernel sources).
After googling around I found that removing these lines help:
InputDevice "Stylus" "SendCoreEvents"
InputDevice "Eraser" "SendCoreEvents"
InputDevice "Cursor" "SendCoreEvents"
indeed, this makes the messages go away - but also my wacom
tablet. Commenting them in brings the emssages back.
the wacom tablet works fine with other (non-kde) apps that use xinput,
such as the gimp, and also with othe rprograms not using xinput
(gnome-terminal, rxvt-unicode, iceweasel etc.).
My input device sections from xorg.conf:
