i understand that this is how things currently work, but it isn't necessarily optimal. for example, if i decide to use the gstreamer phonon backend instead of xine (not sure if this exists yet or how to enable it, but when it is available, i will switch to it), i will no longer need xine and will prefer to remove the packages because they are unneeded. and maybe this is a non-issue. when the phonon gstreamer backend becomes available, the kdebase-runtime dependency can just be changed to "libxine1 | libgstreamer"... although it would be nice to be able to use no audio and hence be able to remove all of the unneeded sound/multimedia packages without losing all of kde. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
