Hello Rafael: Could you do the following checks?
· Try to mute using kmix, for example, clicking on the kmix system tray icon
and clicking on the light green led on top on the slide bar.
· What changes on kmix panel: click kmix system tray icon and select "mixer"
when you press the mute button button repeatedly?
BTW this looks more like a problem in kmilo, let's see.
