Package: kppp
Version: 4:2.1.1-7
Severity: normal
Hi
Kppp has begun gobbling memory at an astounding rate. Box uptime 16
days, kppp has been running all that time and the problem has only just
become noticable.
A line from `top`:
PID USER PRI NI SIZE RSS SHARE STAT %CPU %MEM TIME COMMAND
8105 dialup 12 0 114M 104M 68812 D 0.9 67.5 32:54 kppp
I'm about to kill it off as I don't know how to debug it. If someone
could send instructions I could try out gdb next time it happens.
It's being run under Xvnc for a home firewall - hence the insane uptime
etc.
I suspect this is upstream - see bug #31055 @ bugs.kde.org - but as this
report is debian-related...
Please contact me if more info would be useful.
