Package: kde Version: 5:47 Severity: important Hi folks!
My system is german but somehow KDE shows Gnome apps in english and Gnome shows KDE apps in english. I switch between KDE and Gnome regularly and use apps from both worlds in both desktop environments so this is somehow very annoying. For convinience reasons, I use gdm and its features to start KDE and Gnome session from withing it in a flexible way so I assume trying to fix this on my own with an adequate ~/.Xsession does not work very well. I would expect a user sets his prefered language _once_ (via $LANG for example) and that should reflect on both worlds without a hassle. Overriding those global settings with environment-specific settings could be optional. your thoughts? greets Michael -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages kde depends on: ii kde-amusements 5:47 the K Desktop Environment games an ii kde-core 5:47 the K Desktop Environment core mod ii kdeaccessibility 4:3.5.5-1 accessibility packages from the of ii kdeaddons 4:3.5.5-1 add-on plugins and applets provide ii kdeadmin 4:3.5.5-1 system administration tools from t ii kdeartwork 4:3.5.5-1 themes, styles and more from the o ii kdegraphics 4:3.5.5-1 graphics apps from the official KD ii kdemultimedia 4:3.5.5-1 multimedia apps from the official ii kdenetwork 4:3.5.5-1 network-related apps from the offi ii kdepim 4:3.5.5-1 Personal Information Management ap ii kdeutils 4:3.5.5-1 general purpose utilities from the ii kdewebdev 4:3.5.5-1 web development apps from the offi kde recommends no packages. -- debconf-show failed -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
