Package: kdelibs

Severity: normal

Hello,

when I start a kde application (I am not using kde globally), I get
plenty of warnings of the form:

kbuildsycoca: WARNING: 'vimpart.desktop' specifies undefined
mimetype/servicetype 'text/x-c'

It is not the first time I see this kind of messages, and I guess the
question about where they come from is a FAQ, but what needs upgrading to
get rid of this? I don't just want to make kde quiet, I want to remove
the cause for the messages.

The exact list of undefined mimetype/servicetype reported is:

I also get this, but it is probably an issue with kdewebdev:

kio (KService*): WARNING: The desktop entry file
Utilities/kfilereplacepart.desktop has Type=Service but is located under "apps"
instead of "services"
kio (KService*): WARNING: Invalid Service : Utilities/kfilereplacepart.desktop

Thank you for your work for kde and debian.

kbuildsycoca caches the mimetype/application association at kde startup
launch. So outside kde, it's launched with the first kde application.
So closing this non-bug.
(If you want to get ride of this error you will have to fix all mimetype
declaration)
