  can you paste the answer from /sbin/ifconfig to us please ?
  if you see lines like adr inet6: ... then you have ipv6 configured on
the machine, and you have to force kdm to listen on an ipv6 socket.

  try to add LISTEN 0.0.0.0 in /etc/kde3/kdm/Xaccess to see if that
fixes the problem.
