Package: kmail
Version: 4:3.4.1-1
Severity: normal
Tags: experimental
After upgrading from 3.3.2 to the experimental 3.4.1 packages, kmail
could not access my imap accounts:
$ kmail: ERROR: : couldn't create slave : Unable to
create io-slave:
klauncher said: Unknown protocol 'imaps'.

kmail: ERROR: : couldn't create slave : Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Unknown protocol 'imap'.
My kdepim-kio-plugins fulfils the Recommends in the Package, yet does
not provide imap support.
Upgrading kdepim-kio-plugins to 4:3.4.1-1 fixes the problem, so the
Recommends: should be versioned.

Hi Chris,
this issue was probably initially valid, but seems to be now obsolete
since a long time. Currently, the dependency of kdepim-kio-plugins 3.3
on kdelibs4 should be equivalent to a conflict of kmail with
kdepim-kio-plugins < 3.4.
Unless I'm missing something, we're unlikely to ever go beyond that, and
this is better closed.
