Anyway, I think I was able to re-implement such a CLI option: please check [2], you should be able to build yourself kpat with the patch from that MR. Please understand, this bug not being high severity, the "fix" will not be backported to Debian trixie: either you build yourself the patched kpat, either you wait for next Debian release to ship kpat including (hopefully) the merged MR.
