After more investigation of the issue, it seems clear to me that the backport of 0ac4aa41 was incomplete. Looking at the parent of that commit, the role of the started() signal changed, and the spawned threads are quite different. In particular, I have resolved the misbehavior of krdp by removing the backported commits from the quilt patchset, and instead taking all of 6.4.2 (for both krdp and kpipewire). Rebuilding both of those packages resolves the no-input-forwarded-to-remote bug of krdp. Best, Antonio Russo
