Package: webext-plasma-browser-integration Version: 6.3.4-1 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: shtetldik+shm...@gmail.com
Dear Maintainer, I noticed that having webext-plasma-browser-integration installed doesn't make Firefox recognize it. Looking into it, it's using version 2.0 of the extension. According to the upstream release notes: https://community.kde.org/Plasma/Browser_Integration/Changelog https://blog.broulik.de/2024/09/plasma-browser-integration-2-0/ Version 2.0 was never intended for Firefox in the first place and was only released for Chrome and Edge. It's also using newer format of the manifest (v3). One intended for Firefox is still version 1.9.1. May be version 2.0 was never tested with Firefox and is not compatible in some way. So making symlinks in the package to /usr/share/mozilla/extensions and description of the package mentioning Mozilla could be misleading. Or may be I'm missing something and there is a way to make it work with Firefox?
