Version: 6.3.0-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
I have just spent a considerable amount of time trying to figure out why
I was unable to find any network printers on a freshly installed laptop.
The laptop was installed using a nightly Debian Trixie installer.
It turns out that installing plasma-desktop pulled in plasma-firewall
which in turn pulled in firewalld. The default configuration for
firewalld seems to block mDNS, which completely breaks service
discovery. I have no doubt this can be configured but it seems odd to
have to make users jump through hoops to install their printer.
I can see two paths forward here:
- Downgrade the "Recommends" on firewalld | ufw to "Suggests".
- Change the default configuration of firewalld, in which case feel free
to re-assign to that package.
Thanks in advance!
Jeremy
