I can confirm this is now fixed.  This is done by running the 
following command, which now returns 0 results:

nm -D /usr/bin/angelfish-webapp | grep PRIVATE_API

Yes, it would.  Although in practice, 6.8.2 is already in trixie and 
it is unlikely that anyone would ever try to backport 24.12.1-1 to 
bookworm, so it probably doesn’t matter if you explicitly state a 
versioned Build-Depends.
