This works fine on my up-to-date sid system.  I notice that you have some 
old versions of packages installed (kdebase-kio-plugins 4:3.4.3-3, libgcc1 
and libstdc++6 4.0.3-1).  Could you try updating your system (using apt-get 
dist-upgrade if you use apt) and see if you can still reproduce this?
