Package: kdeconnect Version: 24.08.2-1 Severity: wishlist
Dear Maintainer, The most recent version of kdeconnect has added the binary package qml6-module-org-kde-kdeconnect, which is pulled in by libkf6purpose-bin. The qml package in turn pulls in kdeconnect. I suspect both of these requirements are unnecessary, and this bug is a request to remove the second dependence (qml-... depending on kdeconnect). I am testing this out presently by building (with equivs) a dummy kdeconnect package (and installing instead of the real kdeconnect from the archive). So far, I have been running KDE without issue. I'm not even sure what might break, but I'm willing to try things out and will report back if something doesn't work. Antonio
