Keyboard functionality is absent when connecting full screen. If fullscreen is disabled, then the keyboard works, and you can enter your password for login. You can re-enable fullscreen mode and keyboard functionality seems to be OK. I've had several occasions where keyboard functionality drops during the middle of my session. Disabling fullscreen mode fixes this problem as well.
