Hmmm, interesting, though the Wiki also states that the next version of Kimdaba doesn't suffer from this problem (presumably it will be released pre-Etch?). Unless other breakage is reported, I'm therefore inclined to keep the patch present and unmodified (for the time being); I'd rather not mess with the patch unless absolutely necessary, and if this is the only problem it causes, I'd prefer to keep it.
