As the forum thread suggests, this is most likely not a bug in the plasma desktop. If your bios is fully up to date, you might want to try with the newer kernel from bookworm-backports [1][2] in case it has better support for your laptop. Usually kernel and bios updates are the best approach for fixing issues like this. Unfortunately, they also sometimes go a long time without a resolution, especially if the device was only sold as being compatible with Windows. For more troubleshooting follow-up, try asking in #debian on the OFTC IRC network.
