I think it is not a bug. The referenced file is shipped by qtchooser package. These symlinks are needed not by the library itself, but by packages containing Qt executables, e.g. qt5-qmake, qtbase5-dev-tools, qdbus-qt5, qdoc-qt5 and others. We cannot make each of these packages ship this symlink, because then they would conflict with each other. But we can make them depend on qtchooser individually, because libqt5core5a does not need that dependency. That's what we do. If you agree with my reasoning, please close this bug. -- Dmitry Shachnev
