This is a known but unfixed bug in KDE 3.5.0: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113525 My kopete package is from the alioth KDE 3.5.0 archive - I hope the BTS is the right place for bug reports on those packages: http://pkg-kde.alioth.debian.org/kde-3.5.0/ I am running a fully upgraded unstable with KDE from alioth (except for kdepim which is not available from the above source).
