I hate to bring the bad news, but this is (at least with the most recent snapshot of Qt4.1) not solved. Still plugins built in debug mode cannot be loaded with designer (from Qt4.1 built with -debug-and-release), in fact the designer shows _no_ widgets at all. Andreas -- Your mode of life will be changed for the better because of new developments.
