Package: kdelibs4-dev
Version: 4:3.3.2-6.1
Severity: important

Hi all,

yesterday I tried to install kdelibs4-dev in order to be able to compile
kmetronome (still doesn't work today after update:ing to another new
Packages.gz):

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/root# apt-get install kdelibs4-dev

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  kdelibs4-dev: Depends: kdelibs4 (= 4:3.3.2-6.1) but 4:3.3.2-6.2 is to be

                Depends: kdelibs-bin (= 4:3.3.2-6.1) but 4:3.3.2-6.2 is to be

E: Broken packages

Trying any sort of manual override (e.g. manual dpkg back to kdelibs4
4:3.3.2-6.1)
failed with unsolvable dependencies, too, stretched over another two package
dependency issues (gs-esp, IIRC), no matter how I tried to replace or remove
versions of several dependent packages to make it work.
(it might probably have worked by ripping out "half my system", but I didn't see
the point of going that route)

IOW, I'm currently completely unable to compile kmetronome (and any other KDE
app I might want to compile!) in order to debug my ALSA sound driver
development.

Feel free to ask for further information.

Thanks!
