Hello! I just upgraded to the experimental 3.3.2 packages (see http://lists.debian.org/debian-kde/2004/12/msg00150.html) and I'm still getting this behavior. Icons move up one square on the "grid" each time I start KDE. Kicker is on top of the screen and Icons -> "Align to Grid" in the desktop RMB menu is checked. I've updated the related bugreport on the KDE side at http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47627
