I first thought this had to be a libmng bug. I tried to use a libmng-1.0.8 (not packaged by debian) with LD_LIBRARY_PATH, and got the same error (I get the same on solaris and freebsd). But with the simple mng viewers that come as contrib/ in the libmng source package, it plays just fine. So I guess the bug is in the way Qt uses libmng. I am still reporting it against konqueror because you should be able to determine which package is at fault better than I am.
