What version of kdelibs-data do you have installed? $ dpkg -L kdelibs-data | grep password /usr/share/apps/kdewidgets/pics/kpasswordedit.png $ apt-cache policy kdelibs-data kdelibs-data: Installed: 4:3.2.3-4 Candidate: 4:3.2.3-4 Version Table: *** 4:3.2.3-4 0 500 ftp://ftp.us.debian.org unstable/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status My kdelibs-data 4:3.2.3-4 doesn't have that file in it.
