Anyone tracking this?
The current messages in the bug list are senseless - especially the
advice given to the submitter.
BTW: When I dist-upgraded to sarge my X libs were NOT installed
correctly. I couldn't run until I fixed it. Why? Something to do with
the installer and new/old softlinks to X libs - they were screwed up
after the upgrage (ie, /usr/lib/libXft.so)
And does anyone care? I had to fix dist-upgrade on one box:
If you don't delete /var/lib/dpkg/available before apt-get upgrade your
dist-upgrade procedes with a partially bogus list.
Though, you get pretty much the same problems (allot) even if your
available list is prefect.
