Package: kde
Version: 4:3.1.2
Severity: normal

When I move between windows using alt + tab kde hangs:
the box with the list of open windows does not disappear,
I cannot select a new window (it respondes, but doesn't work),
and I must login on a tty and kill something to get things working.

this has been already reported in #254923, and it seems to be a xlibs
  issue.

downgrading the xlibs package from 4.3.0.dfsg.1-5 to 4.3.0.dfsg.1-4
solves the problem (the rest of xfree86 can be kept at the latest
  version).

there is another workaround in the 254923 bug log which doesn't need
  downgrading.

  cheers,

The easy way is the wrong way, and the hard way is the stupid way. Pick one.
