I had installed the unstable version of debian in November 2003 but switched to testing in December 2003. So my system is a mix of the current testing version with possibly some unstable packages left. Unpredictably, KDE hangs completely blocking any keyboard or mouse input so that I have to press RESET on my box. I could observe that it especially hangs when using KDE applications; when using mozilla or openoffice, all is fine. The problem mostly occurs when resizing columns, for example in kmail or the playlist of noatun and other KDE applications. Sorry to be so unspecific but I could not identify the true reason or package. But it is pretty ennoying to use RESET twice a day ... --------------------------------------- Received: (at 238531-done) by bugs.debian.org; 7 Apr 2004 04:10:42 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Apr 06 21:10:42 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from 66-194-152-191.gen.twtelecom.net (pico.surpasshosting.com) [66.194.152.191] by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1BB4Og-0000WP-00; Tue, 06 Apr 2004 21:10:42 -0700 Received: from conr-adsl-cheney.txucom.net ([207.70.165.48] helo=calc) by pico.surpasshosting.com with esmtp (TLSv1:RC4-SHA:128) (Exim 4.24) id 1BB4Ot-0005Eu-Ik for [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Wed, 07 Apr 2004 00:10:55 -0400 Received: from ccheney by calc with local (Exim 4.31) id 1BB4OY-0000CF-F2 for [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Tue, 06 Apr 2004 23:10:34 -0500 Date: Tue, 6 Apr 2004 23:10:34 -0500 From: Chris Cheney <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: kdelibs4: kde hangs when resizing columns and also unpredictably Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="v2Uk6McLiE8OV1El" Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.5.1+cvs20040105i X-AntiAbuse: This header was added to track abuse, please include it with any abuse report X-AntiAbuse: Primary Hostname - pico.surpasshosting.com X-AntiAbuse: Original Domain - bugs.debian.org X-AntiAbuse: Originator/Caller UID/GID - [47 12] / [47 12] X-AntiAbuse: Sender Address Domain - cheney.cx Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-2.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00 autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: X-CrossAssassin-Scores: 1 --v2Uk6McLiE8OV1El Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Downgrading dists is not supported, I can not reproduce the problem here strictly in sid and have not heard of any other reports of this problem so I am closing this bug.
