Per http://release.debian.org/sarge_rc_policy.txt, this is not release-critical for sarge. Also, priorities are controlled by the ftpmasters, so bugs against individual packages for priority problems often confuse people (i.e. they try to change the priority in the package and get confused when this doesn't work straight off because the override file still has the old value ...).
